Founded by Charles Vorselaars in 1995, based on honesty and excellence in service, Vortech is the company Charles gave his name into.
Charles’ parents, Magdelena & Rene, immigrated to Canada in 1968 from the Netherlands making him a proud first generation Canadian. Raised from the earliest of ages in the Cowichan Valley, Charles set his roots in the Valley where he earned his reputation and remains a well-respected member of the community. Magdelena, or Madeline as she was often known, was an exceptional influence on Charles’ life. Having spent countless hours with his mother, she taught Charles a strong Dutch work ethic balanced with gentleness and appreciation that are the cornerstones of Vortech’s commitment to service, both to our customers and our team. Though Magdelena was sadly lost to this world in 2018, her influence and compassion live on within Charles and Vortech.
Currently, Charles remains in the Valley and is fully involved in the businesses day to day activities. Vortech, though starting out as an owner/operator, company has grown into one of Vancouver Island’s top businesses for multiple service sectors. These service sectors include, but are not limited to, plumbing, drainage, septic, water lines and well & pump work. The multiple service offerings reflect Charles’ keen interest in learning new complimentary trades while providing the core value of providing exact workmanship with beneficial service to our clients.
In his spare time, Charles enjoys spending his time outdoors. Whether that be manicuring his acreage with his wife Kelly, (a local ICU nurse), exploring the natural beauty of BC or spending time with the kids.
